Official opening of childhood home
Welcome to the official opening of Thor Heyerdahl’s childhood home in Steingata 7, October 7 2011, at. 11.30.
The municipality of Larvik is now doing more to honour the name of Thor Heyerdahl. During the course of a three year project we will strengthen the ties between Thor Heyerdahls name and Larvik so that the town becomes known as his hometown both in Norway and around the world. We will create new attractions and experiences based on core values such as innovation, adventurousness and sincerity.
Thor Heyerdahl was born in Larvik on the 6th of October 1914.
